I had the distinguished pleasure of attending the Resume Writing, Brand Management and “Update Your Marketing Tool” Workshop, hosted by the National Sales Network, South Florida Chapter at Nova Southeastern University and presented by Someone Professional (SOP) Inc.. I must admit, that prior to this resume workshop I felt confident that I knew how to organize and write resumes for myself and others. However, as I listened to Trainer's resume presentation, I was shocked how clueless I was about many aspects of the resume writing process including: researching, organizing and formatting resumes for specific jobs. Their resume illustrations and writing process literally transformed how I viewed the resume writing process.
Following the resume workshop I contacted SOP to help me analyze and re-write my resume for perspective employment. Upon completion of my resume, they further assisted me with the interviewing process. As a result of this employment coaching I had several interviews scheduled within one month. Nevertheless, my most memorable interview was with the University of Miami for a Director of Development position. While I was not hired for the position, the panel of five interviewers acknowledged how professional my resume appeared and how well prepared I was for the interview. That was a blessing in disguise because I was hired with my dream job as Vice President of Development and Communications at Urban League of Palm Beach County. Thus at the end of the day, I would like to sincerely thank Someone Professional for helping me obtain better employment opportunities with my new “Marketing Tool.” More importantly I highly recommend Someone Professional to all professionals because they are able to cater to all of our employment needs.
